Reconstruction: Conventional & Fast Track Technology
After the Earthquake of October 2005, NESPAK DMRD was given the responsibility of construction thousands of facilities in the Earthquake affected areas of AJK and KPK. Due to the urgent nature of work, DMRD also got involved in utilizing Fast Track Construction Technology. DMRD has successfully implemented projects using Structural Concrete Insulated Panel (SCIP) Construction and Pre-Engineered Light Gauge Cold Formed Galvanized Steel Structure.

Geographical Information System
NESPAK keeping in pace with the latest technological developments has established a state of the art GIS Section, equipped with latest GIS hardware, software and trained professionals.The services offered by GIS section DMRD includes Satellite Imagery Interpretation, Map Digitization, Digital Terrain Model, Global Positioning System Survey,Geographic Analysis etc.

Disaster Risk Management is a systematic approach to identify, assess & reduce the risks of disasters. It aims to reduce socio-economic vulnerabilities of communities to all types of natural & man-made disaster mechanisms that triggers them. Geological Hazard Assessment (GHA) serves as a basic tool in modern urban and rural development.

Project Monitoring & IT Services
NESPAK's IT capabilities include the automation of business processes in a way that enables project monitoring and supervision for thousands of projects spread in remote sites. DMRD has developed a Business Process Management System, the first ever of its kind in the country. DMRD has also developed a Project Monitoring System which reports Live report from remote sites right on the screens of higher management.

Welcome to Disaster Management and Reconstruction Division (DMRD)

Services Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited (NESPAK) is Pakistan’s premier consultancy
organization. Its international stature is well established with a repute of being
one of the top engineering consultancy organizations in Asia and Africa and is
ranked amongst the world’s top 200 consulting firms.
NESPAK was established in 1973 as a private limited company by the Government
of Pakistan. The objective of its creation was to create a pool of talented
engineers, attain self-reliance in engineering consultancy and replace foreign
consultants.
The
earthquake of October 2005, necessitated establishment of specialized Division
in NESPAK to cater for rehabilitation and reconstruction works of areas
subjected to catastrophes. Resultantly Disaster Management &
Reconstruction Division was established on an immediate basis and was given the
responsibility to provide consultancy services for reconstruction of thousands
of facilities in the Earthquake affected areas of AJ&K and KPK.
In all these years since its establishment, DMRD has expanded its fields of
activities from seismic safe reconstruction to Disaster Management,
GIS and Disaster safe Land use Planning.
